Seniors who do not attend the meetings will not be allowed to participate in the ceremonies. You have been given enough time to talk to any employer to make sure you can get off to attend these mandatory meetings.

Federal Report Cards Available
The U.S. Department of Education requires a report card to be disseminated annually to include specific district and campus-level data for Texas public schools.

Sweeny High School has received the 2012 College Readiness Award from the Texas ACT Council. The school received the award for increasing the number of students taking the ACT Assessment during the past five years and significantly increasing its level of achievement and college readiness. Only 170 high schools in Texas were honored for this accomplishment, which represents only 9 percent of all Texas high schools.
The Texas ACT Council is comprised of secondary and postsecondary educators who advise ACT, Inc. on the utilization of ACT programs and services in Texas schools and colleges. The not-for-profit organization provides research, assessment, program management services and information in areas of workforce development and education and publishes the ACT assessment. The ACT assessment is a college admissions test utilized by all colleges nationwide.
